Notes to the Budget

There are several items that I wish to note on the budget:

 

  1. The house building account skewers the entire budget in terms of funds. To purchase materials and prepare houses – money for houses arrives on average 6 weeks in advance. The result is that there is a fair amount of funds that are out for purchase of materials but not yet receipted.  The beginning of our fiscal year is our busiest time for house building with 142 houses in preparation for the months of September and October. November houses currently stands at 111.

 

  1. The amount of partnerships and wells was met this year – what a great gift that is. I pray that each year may be the same.

 

  1. The cost of gas and oil in each project area was under budgeted because of the spiraling costs of gasoline. It has basically tripled in the past 12 months.

 

  1. The amount of savings by our families was over budgeted in some project areas and under budgeted in other project areas.
