Cottage Industry Report
October 2006 Until
August 2007
---------------------------------
This
year was a very good year in many ways. We exceeded our sales goals this year –
selling more in 11 months than our planned 12 months.
We
are very grateful to Tabitha Singapore for the assistance they gave us this
year after we were robbed of about $50,000.00 worth of our silk stock. It was
very good to have that replenished by their extra efforts in the sales on our
behalf.
Our Objectives:
1.From October 2006 until August 2007, TABITHA-Cottage Industry will increase the income of 594 families with 4352
dependents from a monthly income of 0-$10 a month to an income
of $50-60$ a month through income
earned from piece rate.
Our actual number of families
working in Cottage Industry was 594 families. 594 families earned an average of $150.00 per month. The decrease in number of workers is
due to the closing of our Siem Reap production.
2. Our goal for sales was to sell $500,000.00
worth of goods.
Our actual sales were $546,067.67.
The reason for the increase in sales is largely do the increase in
customers and a better understanding of how to promote sales in various
countries. We are very grateful for all the help that we received.
